Buying a used vehicle from Runde’s if you’re from Canada
Once you’ve got your vehicle picked out and have worked out a deal with your Runde’s sale associate, Runde Auto Group will mail you a copy of the bill of sale and the other paperwork involved. You can sign all paperwork and mail it back to us. If you are getting a loan, you’ll just take the contract down to your personal bank, sign the loan papers, and have your bank wire the funds to our international wire account. If you will be paying cash, you can just visit your bank and have them wire the balance from your account to Runde’s account. We’ll provide you with our account information at that time.
The majority of our customers from Canada elect to have their vehicle shipped to the border. Runde’s can provide you with a quote on shipping costs. Runde Auto Group can also arrange the shipping details for you. Since we do an abundance of vehicle shipping, we can usually provide you with very competitive rates. If you’ll be arranging your own shipping, remember that the cheapest quotes are not always from the most reliable shippers. Please browse through online reviews and do some research before choosing your shipping company. Once the vehicle gets to the border, you would come into the U.S. to pick it up and drive it over the border into Canada.
The following is what you’ll need to do so that you’ll be able to bring your vehicle into Canada?"
1) Fill out the work sheet accurately (The work sheet is provided by the Import/Export Border) with your phone number.
2) Fax the front and back of the vehicle title (Runde’s can fax you the title or we can have it emailed to you) to the Import/Export Border Crossing (they will supply you with their fax number). The title must be faxed 72 hours before the vehicle is brought through the border.
3) Fax the lien release to the border. You must present the original when you arrive at the border (Runde’s will have the original lien release attached to the title).
If you reside in Canada and purchase a vehicle from Runde Auto Group, there is no U.S. sales tax charged. Canadian residents are tax exempt as far as the United States federal and state taxes are concerned. The customer only pays Runde’s for the used vehicle plus any service or shipping fees (if applicable).
